Mac Allister’s Impressive Campaign In English Football
Mac Allister had a terrific season at Brighton recently as he managed to put in a run of impressive performances for them in the middle of the park. The Argentine sensation has scored 12 goals and earned three assists in 40 appearances for the Seagulls during this campaign on all fronts.
The 24-year-old has given a good account of himself by averaging 2.0 tackles, 0.6 interceptions, 2.5 shots, 1.3 key passes and 1.2 dribbles per game in Premier League football. He has even distributed the ball well from midfield after completing 87.2% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the American Express Community Stadium is set to run out in the summer of 2025. However, the Reds are desperate to strengthen their midfield and could be inclined to orchestrate a move for him in this off-season.
Is Mac Allister A Good Option For Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp?
Mac Allister is a solid tackler of the ball and usually works hard for his team defensively. He can also strike the ball with venom and accuracy from long range. The Argentine sensation has also got the vision to set up some clear-cut chances in the final third and is a decent dribbler with the ball as well.
We can expect Mac Allister to bring more goals and creativity to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp‘s midfield. He is good enough to serve as an ideal successor to James Milner who will leave the Merseyside club when his contract expires at the end of this month.
At 24, Mac Allister has still got a lot of room to grow as a footballer. Hence, he will be an excellent option for the Reds to pursue in the upcoming transfer window. The Argentine midfield ace knows the Premier League well by now and is well-equipped to make an instant impact at Anfield next season.
