Manchester City faced off against Brighton and Hove Albion at the American Express Community Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a positive result on the road to celebrate their recent Premier League win. Pep Guardiola‘s men made a good start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 25th minute when Phil Foden found the back of the net with an easy finish from close range. However, Julio Enciso equalised for the Seagulls with a brilliant strike from long range. Both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Man City failed to find the winning goal in the second half and had to settle for a hard-fought 1-1 draw away from home.
