Celtic will entertain St. Mirren at Celtic Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to earn a victory on the road in the Scottish Premiership. The Hoops suffered a poor 3-0 loss away at Rangers recently, so they would be hungry to bounce back with a win this weekend.
Angelos Postecoglou will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, we can once again expect to see Oh Hyeon-gyu lead the charge for Celtic in the final third.
4-3-3 Celtic Predicted Lineup To Face St. Mirren
Defence
Joe Hart will operate as the home side’s first-choice keeper after conceding three goals in his last league outing. Carl Starfelt will function alongside Yuki Kobayashi at the centre of Postecoglou’s defence as they try to keep the St. Mirren attackers quiet throughout the 90 minutes.
Anthony Ralston will fill in as the right-back while Alexandro Bernabei looks to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the opposition half.
Greg Taylor will offer cover for the left-back position on the bench.
Midfield
Reo Hatate, Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley will make up Celtic‘s midfield as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they are to create enough chances for the Hoops to win this clash.
Tomoki Iwata will be named on the bench as he waits for his opportunity to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Jota will try to catch the eye as the left-winger while Liel Abada tries to make a difference from the right flank.
Oh Hyeon-Gyu will lead the line for the Glaswegian outfit on the attacking end of the field. He has to find a way to cause a few headaches for the opposition centre-backs this weekend.
Kyogo Furuhashi will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages of the contest if Postecoglou opts to call upon his services this weekend.
