Newcastle United welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Magpies made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 22nd minute when Deniz Undav scored an unfortunate own goal. Dan Burn doubled Newcastle’s advantage in the first half injury-time as Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.

Deniz Undav got a goal back for the Seagulls in the 51st minute. However, Callum Wilson killed the game off in the 89th minute before Bruno Guimaraes got his name on the scoresheet in injury time. The contest ended with Newcastle earning a dominant 4-1 win in front of their home fans.
