Liverpool will entertain Brentford at Anfield on Saturday evening as they hope to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to secure a narrow 1-0 win over Fulham recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this clash at Merseyside.
Jurgen Klopp will set his side up in a 3-2-2-3 formation and could be inclined to name a strong first XI for this game. Both Andrew Robertson and Cody Gakpo could get a chance to impress from the start while Kostas Tsimikas and Luis Diaz drop to the bench.
3-2-2-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Brentford
Defence
Alisson Becker will function in goal for the Reds after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing at Anfield. Klopp will once again opt for a back three of Ibrahima Konate, Virgil Van Dijk and Andrew Robertson as they try to keep things solid at the back versus the Bees this weekend.
Joe Gomez and Joel Matip will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arnold will anchor the midfield for Liverpool as they look to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park.
Curtis Jones and Jordan Henderson will operate just ahead of them as the free-flowing attacking midfielders. Both of them will be instructed to make some well-timed runs in behind the opponent’s backline at every chance they get.
Harvey Elliott and James Milner will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Darwin Nunez will try to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Mohamed Salah looks to weave his magic from the right. Salah scored the only goal of the game versus Fulham, so his confidence will be sky-high ahead of this game.
Cody Gakpo will lead the line for the Merseyside club on the attacking end of the field. He was rested in midweek and would be fresh for this home clash against Brentford.
Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the contest in the latter stages if required.
