Chelsea will clash heads with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday to secure a win in this Premier League encounter. The Blues recently suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of Arsenal, which has further drained their confidence after the defeat against Brentford.
Frank Lampard will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI. Kai Havertz and Mykhaylo Mudryk should start in the attacking third, replacing Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling, respectively.
4-3-3 Chelsea Predicted XI Vs Bournemouth
Defence
After shipping in a couple of goals in his last league outing, Kepa Arrizabalaga will continue to feature in between the sticks for the Blues. Wesley Fofana will continue to form a defensive partnership with Thiago Silva at the heart of Chelsea‘s backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers from causing too much trouble inside their defensive half.
Ben Chilwell will operate as the left-back, while Cesar Azpilicueta hopes to put in a tireless display as the right-back. Both of them need to defend their penalty box and hope to offer an outlet for the Blues on the counter.
Midfield
Mateo Kovacic, Enzo Fernandez and N’Golo Kante will anchor the midfield for Chelsea as they focus on making life difficult for the opposition at the centre of the park.
Conor Gallagher will be available for selection on the bench and might come on in the second half if Lampard decides to call upon his services. However, Reece James remains sidelined for this contest due to a thigh injury.
Attack
Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke will operate on the flanks as they look to provide support from the wide areas.
Kai Havertz will probably get the nod to lead the charge for Chelsea as he fancies his chances of finding the back of the net.
Joao Felix and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the clash if needed.
