West Ham United will clash heads with Liverpool on Wednesday night as they welcome them to London Stadium for this midweek contest. The Hammers will come into the match on the back of an emphatic 4-0 victory over Bournemouth, so we can expect them to be confident for this next encounter.
David Moyes will opt for the 4-3-3 formation again and is expected to keep the changes to a minimum for this contest. Michail Antonio will continue to lead the line in the final third while Lukasz Fabianski operates in goal.
4-3-3 West Ham United Predicted XI Vs Liverpool
Defence
Lukasz Fabianski should continue to operate in between the sticks for West Ham, and he will be looking to keep a clean sheet. Nayef Aguerd will continue to form a defensive partnership with Kurt Zouma at the heart of Moyes’ defence as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the game.
Vladimir Coufal will look to impress as the right-back, while Aaron Cresswell fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both would have to keep a solid shape at the back and try to create some decent chances going forward into the attacking third.
Emerson Palmieri and Ben Johnson will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Midfield
Lucas Paqueta, Declan Rice and Thomas Soucek will operate in the holding midfield positions as they focus on dominating possession at the centre of the park and orchestrate enough chances for West Ham to win this home encounter.
Pablo Fornals will be named on the bench as he awaits his chance to shine as a second-half substitute if Moyes opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Jarod Bowen and Said Benrahma will operate from the wide areas as part of Moyes’ attack looking to create enough chances in front of the goal from the right and left flank, respectively.
Michail Antonio will spearhead Moyes’ attack down the middle and would be keen on getting his name on the scoresheet again.
Danny Ings will take a spot on the bench to provide cover for the attacking positions.
