Manchester City locked horns with Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a victory on their travels in the Premier League. The Mancunian side made a good start to the game and got themselves ahead in the 45th minute when Erling Haaland found the back of the net. Pep Guardiola’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Jack Grealish doubled Man City’s advantage in the 58th minute before Haaland scored again just ten minutes later. Sekou Mara scored a consolation goal for the Saints in the 72nd minute. Three minutes later, Julian Alvarez scored from the penalty spot as Man City cruised to a dominant 4-1 win away from home.

The Brazilian keeper hardly had anything to do in the game but won’t be happy after conceding a goal in the second half.

The Portuguese talent cleared the danger when needed and won his fair share of aerial duels as well.

The Spaniard earned the ball back once and passed the ball well from midfield.
RW: Riyad Mahrez – 6/10
He made one key chance in the final third but got replaced in the 55th minute.
CAM: Kevin De Bruyne – 8/10
De Bruyne made a few decent chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CAM: Ilkay Gundogan – 8/10
He caused a lot of headaches for the Southampton defenders but failed to take his chances.
LW: Jack Grealish – 9/10
Grealish was a constant menace in the final third and has got a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.
ST: Erling Haaland – 8/10
Haaland came alive when his teammates needed him the most. He scored a goal in each half before being replaced in the 68th minute.
