Aston Villa faced off against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a positive result on the road in the Premier League. The Villans made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 24th-minute courtesy of Ollie Watkins’ effort. However, the home team equalised just 11 minutes later when Harvey Barnes found the back of the net. Both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was sent off in the 70th minute. Aston Villa managed to make their numerical advantage count and scored the winning goal in the 87th minute when Bertrand Traore got his name on the scoresheet. The contest ended with the Villans earning a narrow 2-1 win away from home.
