Manchester City entertained Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a positive result at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the 17th minute when Mohamed Salah found the back of the net. Julian Alvarez equalised for the home side just ten minutes later when he got his name on the scoresheet. Both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Kevin De Bruyne gave Man City the lead almost immediately after the restart before Ilkay Gundogan put daylight between the two sides in the 53rd minute. Jack Grealish killed the game off in the 74th minute as the contest ended with Pep Guardiola‘s men earning an impressive 4-1 win at the Etihad.
