Liverpool clashed heads with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they focused on securing a result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a quick start to the game as they scored the opening goal in the 17th-minute courtesy of Mohamed Salah’s excellent finish. However, Julian Alvarez equalised for the home side just ten minutes later as the two sides went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.

Kevin De Bruyne completed the turnaround for the home side in the 46th minute before Ilkay Gundogan got his name on the scoresheet just seven minutes later. Jack Grealish put the icing on the cake for the Mancunian side in the 74th minute as Jurgen Klopp‘s Liverpool crashed to a poor 4-1 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player performed during the match against Manchester City.

GK: Alisson Becker – 6.5/10

The Brazilian keeper made a few important saves at the back but still ended up conceding four goals during the game.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6/10

He failed to stop Jack Grealish from causing a lot of chaos today. However, Alexander-Arnold made two good runs with the ball on the right flank.

CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6/10

Konate made some crucial clearances at the back and was accurate with his passing.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6.5/10

He did his fair share of defending but it was not enough in the end.
