Ronaldo was born in Funchal, Portugal and was a product of Nacional’s youth system before he decided to seal a move to Sporting CP’s academy as a teenager. The Portuguese talent grew his status as a footballer and managed to secure a huge move to Man United in the summer of 2003.
Ronaldo enjoyed a brilliant six-year spell at the Mancunian club before making a big-money switch to Real Madrid when he was playing at his best back in 2009.
