Everton locked horns with West Ham United at the London Stadium earlier today as they hoped to grind out a result away from home. The Toffees made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 34th minute when Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net. Bowen doubled West Ham’s advantage just seven minutes when he scored again to put his team 2-0 up at half-time.
The Merseyside club failed to mount a comeback in the second half and crashed to a poor 2-0 defeat on the road.

The English keeper made two important saves during the game but will be disappointed after conceding two goals in the first half.

Mina gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch and was a threat going forward as well.

He earned the ball back twice but failed to stop the home side from scoring twice before the half-time break.

Tarkowski cleared the danger when needed and was accurate with his passing.
RW: Seamus Coleman – 6.5/10
Coleman made one good run with the ball but struggled to prove his worth inside his half.
CM: Amadou Onana – 6.5/10
He caught the eye at times at both ends of the field but was lackluster in the final third.
CM: Idrissa Gueye – 6.5/10
Gueye had some decent moments in the game but failed to get a foothold in the game.
LW: Vitaliy Mykolenko – 6/10
He did his fair share of defending but lacked quality in the final third.
RAM: Alex Iwobi – 6.5/10
Iwobi got stuck in with some tackles but failed to influence the game offensively.
LAM: Demarai Gray – 6/10
Gray engineered one good chance in the opponent’s half but never looked like scoring.
ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 6/10
The English striker worked hard but struggled to pose a threat in the final third.
