Real Madrid locked horns with Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a win in the Copa del Rey. Los Blancos made a poor start to the contest as they conceded the opening goal in the fourth minute when Etienne Capoue scored for the home team. Samuel Chukwueze doubled his team’s advantage in the 42nd minute as Real Madrid went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.
Vinicius Junior pulled a goal back for the Madrid giants in the 57th minute before Eder Militao got his name on the scoresheet just 12 minutes later. Dani Ceballos ended up netting the winning goal in the 86th minute as Carlo Ancelotti’s men earned a 3-2 win on the road.
