Chelsea faced off against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to grind out a good result on the road. The Blues made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the 23rd minute when Riyad Mahrez found the back of the net. Julian Alvarez doubled Man City’s advantage at the half-hour mark when he got his name on the scoresheet from the penalty spot. Foden added another goal in the 38th minute as Chelsea went into the half-time break 3-0 down on the scoreline.
The West London club struggled to find a way to cause Man City problems and conceded another goal in the 85th minute when Mahrez scored another goal. The match ended with Chelsea suffering a poor 4-0 defeat away from home.

He made a couple of crucial clearances at the back but was unable to stop the opposition attackers from causing problems this evening.

Koulibaly put his foot through the ball at times but put in a disappointing performance on the defensive third of the pitch.
LB: Lewis Hall – 6/10
He earned the ball a few times during the game and made a couple of decent runs with the ball.
CM: Mateo Kovacic – 6/10
Kovacic struggled to get a foothold in the game and got replaced at half-time.
CM: Jorginho – 5.5/10
The Italy international made two crucial tackles in midfield but offered very little protection for his teammates at the back. He did well to last 62 minutes.
CM: Conor Gallagher – 6/10
He showed some fight even when his team were on the back foot and made one decent chance going forward.
RW: Hakim Ziyech – 6/10
Ziyech struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and got substituted after the hour mark.
ST: Kai Havertz – 5.5/10
He had a couple of bright moments in the game but never threatened the opposition goal.
LW: Mason Mount – 6/10
Mount had some strikes at goal but failed to find the back of the net.
