Argentina will clash heads with France at the Lusail Iconic Stadium on Sunday evening, hoping to pick up a win and lift the 2022 World Cup. Lionel Scaloni’s men will be coming into the match on the back of a stunning 3-0 victory over Croatia whereas Didier Deschamps’ men recorded a 2-0 win against Morocco in the semi-finals.
Didier Deschamps will probably opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation; however, he is expected to make a couple of changes for the upcoming clash as Adrien Rabiot looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.
4-2-3-1 France Predicted Lineup Vs Argentina
Defence
Hugo Lloris is expected to start in goal for the upcoming encounter. The Tottenham shot-stopper would be looking to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Sunday.
Raphael Varane will continue to form the centre-half partnership with Dayot Upamecano at the heart of France’s backline.
Jules Kounde is a guaranteed starter at the right back position, whereas Theo Hernandez will fill in on the other flank as the left back. The duo would be expected to stretch their side’s attack on either flank.
Midfield
Aurelien Tchouameni and Adrien Rabiot will slot in as the central midfielders, looking to put up a strong performance and dominate the midfield proceedings against Argentina. Antoine Griezmann will slot in as the attacking midfielder.
Eduardo Camavinga will have to settle for a place on the bench but he might be called off the bench in the latter stages of the match if needed.
Attack
Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele will take up the wide positions, playing on the left and right wing respectively.
Olivier Giroud is expected to lead the line for his side against Argentina. The 36-year-old striker would hope to get his name on the scoresheet when he faces off against the Argentinian defence that has conceded four goals in their last six matches.
