Arsenal faced off against PSV Eindhoven at the Philips Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to earn a positive result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Gunners made a dominant start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Joey Veerman opened the goal-scoring in the 55th minute with a nice finish. Luuk de Jong doubled the home team’s lead just eight minutes later which left the Gunners with a mountain to climb. Mikel Arteta’s men failed to come up with a response and crashed to a 2-0 loss away from home.
