Arsenal faced off against PSV Eindhoven at the Philips Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to earn a positive result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. The Gunners made a dominant start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Joey Veerman opened the goal-scoring in the 55th minute with a nice finish. Luuk de Jong doubled the home team’s lead just eight minutes later which left the Gunners with a mountain to climb. Mikel Arteta’s men failed to come up with a response and crashed to a 2-0 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the match against PSV Eindhoven.

GK: Aaron Ramsdale – 5.5/10

The English keeper made a few decent saves at the back but should have done better to prevent de Jong’s goal after the hour mark.

RB: Takehiro Tomiyasu – 6.5/10

The Japanese talent earned the ball back once and engineered one good chance in the final third for Arsenal.

CB: William Saliba – 6/10

The French talent made one important clearance during the game but failed to stop PSV from scoring twice during the game.

CB: Rob Holding – 6/10

He made a couple of important contributions at the back but won’t be happy after letting in two goals during his time on the field.

Lokonga anchored the midfield well at times but could last only 55 minutes.

CM: Granit Xhaka – 6/10

Xhaka struggled to get a foothold in the game and produced a lackluster display in the PSV half.

RW: Fabio Viera – 6.5/10

He created some decent chances for his teammates and made one good run with the ball.

ST: Eddie Nketiah – 6/10

Nketiah was not shy of having a shot at goal but failed to finish off any of his chances.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 5.5/10

Martinelli created some inviting opportunities for others around him but struggled to find the back of the net.

He added some energy to Arteta’s midfield.

The English sensation engineered one key chance in the final third.
