Newcastle United will travel to North London to face Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday as they look to grab a good result in this away encounter. The Magpies will come into the match on the back of a narrow 1-0 victory against Everton, so they will be looking to produce a similar result in this Premier League match-up.
Eddie Howe will probably stick to the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name a strong team for this game. Callum Wilson will lead the charge against the Lilywhites while Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy continue in the wide areas.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup Vs Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Nick Pope will continue to operate in between the sticks for the Magpies after securing a solid clean sheet at St. James Park in his last outing. Fabian Schar will feature alongside Sven Botman at the heart of Newcastle’s defence hoping to give a strong performance.
Dan Burn will fill in at left-back while Kieran Trippier hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the right-back. Both of them will be eager to impress as they stretch the opposition in the final third.
Jamaal Lascelles will offer cover for the defensive spots on Howe’s bench. However, Emil Krafth is unlikely to be ready in time for this game this week as he remains sidelined due to a knee injury.
Midfield
Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Sean Longstaff will make up Newcastle’s midfield in this away encounter. All three of them would have to work hard collectively in establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.
Joe Willock could come on to make an impact in the second half if Howe decides to call upon his services.
Attack
Jacob Murphy would be eager to impress on the left flank while Miguel Almiron hopes to put in a productive display from the right wing.
As mentioned earlier, Callum Wilson will get the responsibility to spearhead Newcastle’s attack down the middle. The English striker failed to register a goal in the midweek clash against the Toffees, so he will be desperate to get his name on the scoresheet against Spurs.
Chris Wood will be available for selection on the bench but might come on to influence the game in the final quarter if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.
