Liverpool will entertain Nottingham Forest at Anfield earlier today as they looked to earn maximum points on the road. The Reds made a dominant start to the game but struggled to find the cutting edge in the final third as they were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.

Jurgen Klopp’s made life difficult for themselves in the second half and conceded the opening goal in the 55th minute when Taiwo Awoniyi scored from close range. The Reds failed to come up with a response but crashed to a poor 1-0 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the match against Nottingham Forest.

GK: Alisson Becker – 7/10

The Brazilian keeper made a few crucial stops to keep his team in the game. However, he couldn’t do much about Awoniyi’s close-range finish early in the second half.

RB: James Milner – 6.5/10

He kept things solid at the back but struggled to be effective in the final third.

CB: Joe Gomez – 5/10

The English centre-back was too slow to react to the danger and produced an unconvincing display today.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 5.5/10

The Dutch defender was too passive with his defending once again and wasted some glorious chances looking to find his teammates in front of the Nottingham goal.

LB: Andrew Robertson – 6/10

The Scotland international produced an energetic display on the left wing but looked vulnerable defensively during the game.

RM: Harvey Elliott – 6.5/10

Elliott tries to make things happen with his passing but lacked the cutting edge on the attacking third of the field.

CM: Fabinho – 5/10

Fabinho struggled to get a foothold in the game and was disappointing when defending inside his half.

CM: Curtis Jones – 7/10

The English midfield ace retained possession well for his teammates but failed to be decisive in the final third.

LM: Fabio Carvalho – 6.5/10

Carvalho had a few bright moments in the first half but lacked quality in the second.

ST: Roberto Firmino – 6/10

Firmino had a couple of strikes at goal but never looked like he would score. He was also quite untidy with his link-up deep inside the Nottingham half.

ST: Mohamed Salah – 5/10

Salah struggled to get into the flow of the game and was lackluster in the final third.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6.5/10

The English full-back created some decent chances after coming off the bench.

CM: Jordan Henderson – 6/10

The Liverpool captain failed to get into the rhythm of the game.

CM: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6/10

He was poor in the final third.
