West Ham United welcomed Anderlecht at the London Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result in front of their home fans in the UEFA Europa Conference League. The Hammers made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 14th minute courtesy of Said Benrahma’s free-kick. Jarrod Bowen doubled West Ham’s lead just 16 minutes later as West Ham were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Anderlecht scored a late consolation goal via Sebastiano Esposito’s successful effort from the penalty spot but David Moyes’ men ended up winning the contest by a narrow 2-1 scoreline.
