Barcelona will lock horns with Inter Milan at San Siro on Tuesday night as they look to earn a good result in the UEFA Champions League. Barca managed to secure a narrow 1-0 win over Mallorca recently which will keep them in high spirits ahead of this European contest on the road.
Xavi will probably stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Eric Garcia, Sergi Roberto and Pedri could all play from the start in this midweek clash away in Italy.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Inter Milan
Defence
Marc-André ter Stegen will play in goal for the Catalan giants after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Eric Garcia will get a chance to partner with Andreas Christensen at the heart of Xavi’s defence as they try to keep a clean sheet at San Siro this Tuesday night.
Sergi Roberto could get a chance to shine at right-back while Jordi Alba hopes to give a good account of himself as the left-back. Both of them need to pick and choose their moments to join in the attack.
Gerard Pique will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Pedri, Sergio Busquets and Franck Kessie will make up the Barca midfield as they focus on dominating the game at the centre of the park. Both Pedri and Kessie need to find a way to be creative with their passing in and around the Inter penalty box.
Gavi will have to be content with a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Ousmane Dembele will look to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Raphinha hopes to weave his magic from the right. Both Barcelona wide players will be responsible for getting in behind the opponent’s backline and engineering some clear-cut chances to win this game.
Robert Lewandowski will once again lead the line for the Catalan outfit up top. The Polish striker will be eager to find the back of the net versus Inter in midweek.
Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages of the game if Barca are in need of a goal by then.
