Bayern Munich entertained Barcelona at the Allianz Arena earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result in front of their home fans. The Bavarian club were quite bright in the first half but were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.
The home team made an excellent start to the second half as they opened the goal-scoring in the 50th minute courtesy of Lucas Hernandez’s solid header. Leroy found the back of the net just four minutes later with a superb finish as Bayern cruised to an impressive 2-0 win in Munich.

The German keeper made a few crucial saves at the back and secured an impressive clean sheet tonight.
RB: Benjamin Pavard – 6/10
Pavard picked up an injury and had to be substituted early in the game.
CB: Dayot Upamecano – 8/10
He won a couple of aerial duels and was excellent when defending inside his half. Upamecano will be quite happy with the clean sheet tonight.
CB: Lucas Hernandez – 8/10
The French defender earned the ball back a few times for his side and opened the goal-scoring with a solid header.
LB: Alphonso Davies – 7.5/10
He performed his defensive duties well and made some decent runs with the ball in the opponent’s half.
CM: Joshua Kimmich – 8/10
Kimmich anchored the midfield with conviction and ended the game with an assist to his name as well.
CM: Marcel Sabitzer – 6.5/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles in the first half. Sabitzer was taken off at half-time.
RW: Leroy Sane – 8/10
The German international was a constant menace in the final third and got his name on the scoresheet with a great finish.
CAM: Jamal Musiala – 7.5/10
Musiala created some decent chances for others around him and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
LW: Sadio Mane – 6.5/10
He had a quiet game in the opponent’s half and could last only 69 minutes.
ST: Thomas Muller – 6.5/10
Muller was always willing to fight for the ball and won a few aerial duels for his team.

He kept things solid at the back and had some lively moments in the Barcelona half.

Goretzka got stuck in with some solid tackles in the second half.
