Manchester United welcomed Real Sociedad at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they focused on securing a positive result in front of their home supporters. The Red Devils made a solid start to the game but struggled to be decisive in the final third as they went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Sociedad were awarded a penalty in the 59th minute which Brias Mendez scored to put the visitors 1-0 up on the night. Man United failed to come up with a response and suffered a 1-0 loss at the Theatre of Dreams.
