It is stated that Valencia have shown keen interest in Bryan Gil as he had a successful loan spell at the Mestalla stadium last season. He has caught the eye of Gennaro Gattuso who wants him in the squad for the next campaign.
Gil’s Loan Spell At Valencia Last Season
Bryan Gil produced some impressive displays at the Mestalla Stadium during his loan spell at Valencia. He was loaned out to the Spanish outfit in the January transfer window, where he managed to produce an assist appearing for 17 matches across all fronts.
The Barbate-born talent had an impressive run of form, although he couldn’t produce impressive numbers due to the lack of game time. He averaged 0.8 shots, 0.8 key passes and 1.3 dribbles per game in La Liga. He was also tidy with his ball distribution after completing 74.9% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top flight (stats via whoscored).
Should Antonio Conte Sanction His Exit From Tottenham Hotspur?
The Tottenham starlet excels at getting out of tight spaces with his excellent dribbling skills and ball control. He can create a yard of space for himself and make penetrating passes to find open teammates on the front foot. Furthermore, he has a wide array of crossing abilities and can confidently take set pieces to create some meaningful opportunities in front of the goal.
The 21-year-old has performed well under Gattuso and has the potential to get even better over the coming seasons. Antonio Conte’s rebuild has called for several players to find the exit door at White Hart Lane as he has brought in reinforcements to go on the run for the Premier League crown. Bryan Gil certainly does not have a future at North London since he’s well below the pecking order as many veterans compete in his position.
A move away might be the most viable option for the attacking midfielder and he would find enough game time in the Spanish first division. Spurs are yet to accept a deal from Valencia, but Conte would be wise to not sell him and allow him to go on a loan since he could act as a long-term replacement, and bring more to Tottenham in the future.
