Manchester City clashed heads with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result on the road. Man City controlled the game well in the first half and went into the half-time interval with a goalless scoreline.
Riyad Mahrez made the opening breakthrough in the 73rd minute with a composed finish. However, Los Blancos rallied back courtesy of two late goals from Rodrygo. The contest finished with Los Blancos earning a 2-1 win after full-time but the tie was level 5-5 on aggregate.
Karim Benzema got his name on the scoresheet in the 95th minute from the penalty spot as Man City crashed to a 3-1 defeat after extra time (6-5 on aggregate) which knocked them out of the Champions League.

Cancelo secured the ball back multiple times for his team. He was also a constant threat going forward.

The Portugal international kept possession really well in tight spaces and made multiple runs with the ball in the Real Madrid half.

He anchored the midfield with conviction and made one key chance in the final third.
