Barcelona entertained Rayo Vallecano at the Nou Camp earlier tonight as they hoped to secure all three points in front of their home fans. The Catalan outfit made a slow start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the seventh minute when Alvaro Garcia Rivera found the back of the net for the visitors. Barca failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Xavi’s men had a frustrating game in the second half as they couldn’t manage to finish off any of their chances. The contest finished with Barca suffering a narrow 1-0 loss at home.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 6/10
The German keeper had very little to do and didn’t even save a shot during the game. He will be disheartened after conceding such an early goal.
RB: Sergino Dest – 6/10
He was accurate with his passing but could last only 45 minutes.
CB: Ronald Araujo – 7/10
Araujo was mostly solid when defending inside his half and was also quite good on the ball.
CB: Eric Garcia – 7/10
The Spaniard earned the ball back a few times and even cleared his lines when the visitors were on the offensive.

LB: Jordi Alba – 7/10
He fulfilled his defensive responibilities and was a real threat going forward. Alba was unfortunate to hit the post.
CM: Frenkie de Jong – 6.5/10
De Jong showed some glimpses of his brilliance but got replaced in the 59th minute.
CM: Sergio Busquets – 7.5/10
The Spanish talent tried his best to protect his backline and made two good chances in the opponent’s half.
CM: Gavi – 7/10
He completed some exciting dribbles from midfield but didn’t do enough to score a goal tonight.
RW: Ousmane Dembele – 6.5/10
Dembele caused a lot of headaches for the Vallecano defenders but will be disappointed for not finding the back of the net during the game.
ST: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 6/10
He struggled to threaten the opposition goal and produced a lackluster display throughout his time on the field.
LW: Ferran Torres – 6/10
Torres struggled to impress in the final third and got substituted near the hour mark.
