Liverpool will clash heads with Everton at Anfield on Sunday, before their first leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Villareal.
The Toffees come into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw against Leicester City, whereas the Reds displayed a dominant performance during a comfortable 4-0 victory over Manchester United.
Team News
On Saturday, Roberto Firmino had picked up a foot injury at the end of the FA Cup semi-final win against Manchester City. He was seen on the bench against the Red Devils, but Klopp went on to say he is hopeful that the 30-year-old would be ready to return for Liverpool’s Merseyside derby with Everton at Anfield on Sunday according to a report from SportsIllustrated.
Jurgen Klopp will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation with a few tweaks from the previous game.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Everton
Defence
Alisson Becker will start in goal for the upcoming encounter. The Brazilian shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Sunday.
Virgil Van Dijk will form the centre-half partnership with Joel Matip at the heart of the Reds’ backline.
Andrew Robertson starts at the left-back position, whereas Trent Alexander-Arnold will fill in on the opposite flank as the right-back. They will look to stretch the opposition’s defence and create chances for the forwards.
Midfield
Fabinho, along with Thiago Alcantara and John Henderson, would hold the central midfield positions, with the former occupying a more defensive role. The duo of Thiago and Henderson would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal-scoring chances for the men up front.
Attack
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will take up the wide positions, playing down the right and left-wing, respectively.
Roberto Firmino might lead the line against the Toffees. The striker will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net as Everton’s defence have conceded six goals in the last five matches in the Premier League.
