Chelsea faced off against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road earlier tonight as they focused on securing a positive result on the road. The Blues made a poor start to the game as they conceded the opening goal in the second minute when Reece Burke found the back of the net. However, Saul Niguez equalised for the Blues with a great finish in the 27th minute. Harry Cornick restored Luton’s advantage just 13 minutes later as the West London outfit went into the half-time break 2-1 down on the scoreline.
Timo Werner equalised for the Blues in the 68th minute before Romelu Lukaku completed the turnaround just ten minutes later with a good goal. Chelsea managed to defend their narrow lead well and managed to earn a hard-fought 3-2 victory which ensured their place in the next round of the FA Cup.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6/10
The Spanish keeper made one save in the game but will be disappointed after conceding two goals during the 90 minutes.
CB: Antonio Rudiger – 6/10
The German centre-back made a couple of crucial defensive contributions but had a tough game inside his half.
CB: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 8/10
He made a couple of important clearances and completed a few impressive dribbles with the ball. Loftus-Cheek even engineered two good chances for his teammates and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CB: Malang Sarr – 6/10
Sarr earned the ball back once on the defensive end of the field but looked vulnerable at the back, especially in the first half.
RM: Callum Hudson-Odoi – 6/10
He made one key chance going forward but got replaced after the hour mark.
CM: Jorginho – 6/10
The Italy international earned possession back a couple of times and created a good chance in the final third.
CM: Saul Niguez – 8/10
The Spaniard was always willing to get forward and was a constant menace in the attacking end of the field. He scored Chelsea’s first goal with a brilliant finish.
LM: Kenedy – 6.5/10
The Brazilian left-back had a lively game in the Luton Town half but got substituted in the 60th minute.
RAM: Mason Mount – 7.5/10
Mount created a lot of inviting chances for his teammates in the final third but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
ST: Romelu Lukaku – 7/10
Lukaku led the line well and gave his team the lead in the second half. Thomas Tuchel will be hoping for more of the same from him.
LAM: Timo Werner – 8/10
The German attacker picked and chose his moments to hurt the Luton defence. He finished the game with one goal and two assists to his name.

He struggled to get into the rhythm of the game.

Vale had a bright game going forward.
