According to Foot Mercato, Paris Saint-Germain are keeping an eye on Fabio Paratici. The Tottenham managerial director has been identified as a potential replacement for Leonardo Araujo, who is currently facing an uncertain future in the French capital. The report suggests Paratici himself is unsure of his long-term future at Spurs, so a summer switch to Paris could be on the horizon.
The Managerial Crisis In Paris
When PSG brought in the likes of Lionel Messi, Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Ramos in the summer, many assumed Les Parisiens are not only set to regain their Ligue 1 crown but are also destined for domination in European football.
However, halfway through the campaign, PSG are well on their way to regaining their status as French champions. They are alive and well in the Champions League as well, but there appears to be multiple powerhouses coming out of the club’s hierarchy, with Leonardo, in particular, losing his influence within the game.
The report suggests multiple PSG stars, led by Kylian Mbappe are not in favour of Leonardo. Knowing it could have a major implication on the Frenchman’s potential decision to remain in Paris, the PSG owners are considering sacking the Brazilian at the end of the season.
In an attempt to replace him, PSG are primarily targeting the French duo of Zinedine Zidane and Arsene Wenger. However, it appears they are also keeping close tabs on Fabio Paratici, who is considered as one of the most influential sporting directors in European football.

However, in recent weeks, Conte has publicly criticised the Tottenham management for not being able to back him in January. Having missed out on most top targets, the former Inter Milan manager is frustrated with Paratici’s performance, which, in turn, has led to speculation over the future of both the Italians.
While Conte appears to be a volatile character, who might be difficult to retain, especially with his contract expiring in 2023, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy simply cannot afford to lose someone like Paratici.
Despite the mediocre results and a visibly poor display in the winter transfer window, the Italian holds great knowledge of European football and his influence in Italian football may help Spurs land talented Serie A players in the future. The 49-year-old has already proven himself with his unrivalled success at Juventus, and his influence behind the scenes could be critical in helping Tottenham
