West Ham United entertained Newcastle United at the London Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure all three points at home. The Hammers made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 32nd minute when Craig Dawson found the back of the net with a powerful header. However, Joe Willock equalised for Newcastle just before the half-time break to make it 1-1 on the day.
David Moyes’ men struggled to be clinical in the second half as the match finished with both teams playing out a 1-1 draw at the English capital.

GK: Łukasz Fabiański – 6.5/10
The Polish keeper made a couple of solid saves at the back but will be disappointed after conceding a goal late in the first half.
RB: Ryan Fredericks – 6/10
He cleared the danger when required and made one key chance going forward. He got replaced at half-time.
CB: Craig Dawson – 7.5/10
Dawson was a rock at the back and did well to score with a powerful header in the first half.
CB: Kurt Zouma – 7/10
The French centre-back made plenty of important clearances inside his half and even pulled off a couple of crucial blocks at the back.

LB: Aaron Cresswell – 7/10
Cresswell showed a few signs of promise during the game and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CM: Tomas Soucek – 7/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction and had a few lively moments in the opponent’s half.
CM: Declan Rice – 6/10
The English talent made a poor mistake which led to Willock’s equaliser. Otherwise, he had a decent game at the heart of the West Ham midfield.
RW: Jarrod Bowen – 6/10
Bowen struggled to get into the flow of the game at times and was lackluster in the final third.
CAM: Said Benrahma – 6/10
He was always looking to create openings for others around him but never looked like he would score.
LW: Pablo Fornals – 6/10
The Spaniard offered very little in the opponent’s half.
ST: Michail Antonio – 6.5/10
The English striker had some lively moments in the final third but once again failed to find the back of the net.

He was solid at the back.
CAM: Nikola Vlasic – 6/10
Vlasic’s impact on the game was minimal.
