Tottenham Hotspur welcomed West Ham United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to pick up a win and progress into the semifinals of the EFL Cup. Spurs made a good start to the game and took the lead in the 29th minute when Steven Bergwijn found the back of the net with a low shot. The Hammers came up with a response soon after as Jarrod Bowen scored with a good finish. However, Lucas Moura regained the lead for the North London outfit in the 34th minute which meant that Spurs went into the half-time break with a 2-1 advantage.
Antonio Conte’s players were solid in the second half and managed to grind out a 2-1 win over West Ham in the London derby.

The French keeper made a few important saves to restrict the Hammers to just one goal during the 90 minutes.

He was solid when defending the right flank and produced an energetic display during his time on the field.

Hojbjerg anchored the midfield well for Tottenham as he won the ball back a few times for his team. He even made one good chance in the final third and has got an assist to his name.
CM: Oliver Skipp – 6.5/10
The English talent did his best to make life difficult for the opposition in midfield. He engineered a decent goal-scoring opportunity in the Hammers half.
CM: Sergio Reguilon – 7/10
The Spaniard performed his defensive duties well and orchestrated two meaningful chances for his teammates.
RW: Lucas Moura – 7.5/10
He caused a lot of headaches for the opposition in the first half and got his name on the scoresheet in the 34th minute. However, he could only last an hour before being taken off by Conte.
ST: Harry Kane – 7/10
The England international linked up play well with others around him in the final third but there was no goal for him tonight.
LW: Steven Bergwijn – 7/10
Bergwijn made two good runs with the ball and was a constant menace in the West Ham half. He gave Spurs the lead with a great finish in the 29th minute.
