Tottenham Hotspur welcomed West Ham United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to pick up a win and progress into the semifinals of the EFL Cup. Spurs made a good start to the game and took the lead in the 29th minute when Steven Bergwijn found the back of the net with a low shot. The Hammers came up with a response soon after as Jarrod Bowen scored with a good finish. However, Lucas Moura regained the lead for the North London outfit in the 34th minute which meant that Spurs went into the half-time break with a 2-1 advantage.
