Premier League giants Chelsea got back to winning ways in the league tonight after a comfortable 3-0 victory over a winless Burnley. The Blues were the dominant force in the game right from the off, and their performance was the perfect symbolism of that dominance. Hakim Ziyech opened his Premier League account with a first-half strike, before a walloping Kurt Zouma header made it two. Timo Werner scored the London club’s third of the night in excellent fashion, to see out what could be an important victory. More than the attacking play, it is the defensive assuredness that Frank Lampard will be most pleased about, as Edouard Mendy kept his fourth consecutive clean sheet across all competitions.

The Senegalese stopper’s run of clean sheets continued as he wasn’t required to make a single save over the course of the ninety. Offers a rather assured presence behind the defensive line as well.

The youngster put in an excellent shift down the right flank as his crossing was right up there once again. Defended well when required to, and didn’t make any unnecessary lunging challenges.
