Leicester City will lock horns with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday evening hoping to pick up maximum points on the road. The Foxes managed to return to winning ways in the Premier League yesterday when they secured a comfortable 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium.
Brendan Rodgers will opt for a 3-5-2 formation and might make a few changes to his first-team for this highly-anticipated league encounter at North London.
3-5-2 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face Arsenal
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel will lineup in goal for the East Midlands outfit after earning a comfortable clean sheet versus the Eagles on Saturday. Ben Chilwell sustained a knock yesterday which could rule him out of this midweek showdown at the English capital. Therefore, Rodgers could be inclined to go with a back three for this game. Caglar Soyuncu will continue to operate alongside Jonny Evans while Ryan Bennett comes in to fill in as the third centre-back.
All three Leicester defenders will focus on maintaining a high line so that they can control more possession in midfield and dictate the flow of the game going forward. Christian Fuchs will once again wait for his opportunity to shine on the Leicester bench.
Midfield
Youri Tielemans will be a nailed-on starter alongside Wilfred Ndidi and Dennis Praet as they look to work hard in winning the midfield battles and creating some decent goal-scoring chances in the opposition half. James Maddison is a significant concern for this game as well. Even if he is passed fit, Rodgers might not risk starting him at such short notice.
Marc Albrighton could be asked to fill in as a makeshift left wing-back while James Justin tries to put on another impressive showing down the right flank. Ayoze Perez will have to settle for a spot on the bench but could come on to influence the game in the second half if needed.
Attack
Both Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy managed to get their names on the scoresheet versus the Eagles, so they will be quite confident about replicating a similar performance at the Emirates in midweek. Rodgers will once again allow them to lead the attack down the middle as they try to expose some of Arsenal’s defensive weaknesses on the counter.
