According to the latest reports from Daily Record, Rangers winger Ryan Kent has been fed up at Anfield, and he soon wants to settle in at a new club. The winger also indicated that he wants to sit down with his representatives in the summer and try to push to a move to Ibrox as he wants to win silverware with the Glaswegian giants.
This should come as positive news for Steven Gerrard as now the player also understands that moving to Rangers would be the best bet for his career. Kent has been ‘nearly there’ man at Liverpool for quite some time and has never really managed to get a look in the senior team.
What did Kent say?
All this has led Kent to be slightly frustrated with the Merseyside outfit as he was quoted as saying, ”I want to kickstart my career somewhere now. I’m tired of changing clubs each year and want to settle down. Liverpool have been good to me but going back there each year and doing well in pre-season and then going back out on loan is a repetitive cycle. Rangers is something being discussed right now and something I’d consider. I’m considering many things after this season.”
Gerrard has already given numerous indications that he would love to have Kent once again in the summer. However, he also indicated that the price tag could be a massive problem for the Gers and they can only look to sign him on another loan spell.
Can Kent make it at Liverpool?
Given the standards and heights which Liverpool are at currently, Kent will continue to remain on the fringes of the squad. Therefore it is no surprise that even the winger is now willing to push for a move away from Anfield.
How has he improved at Rangers?
Kent has progressed exponentially as the season has gone by and now he is one of the most important players for Gerrard in his attacking setup. The winger always had that pace and trickery to go past defenders, but he has improved on his final product under the guidance of Gerrard. There is no doubt that the English winger has huge room for improvements and he is only going to get better from here onwards.
Can Rangers get their man?
An impressive season at Ibrox has probably shot up Kent’s price further in the transfer market. Some reports claim that Liverpool could demand close to £12m for him and that could be too much for Rangers.
In that case, only a loan spell seems to be the answer towards getting him again. Or maybe Gerrard can weave his magic wand at his former club to bring the player’s price down.
