According to a recent report by Sky Italia, Dalian Yifang would no longer allow Yannick Carrasco to leave the club on loan during this window amidst interest from Arsenal, Inter Milan and AC Milan. In a recent interview with Sky Italia, the Belgian talent’s agent Federico Pastorello said, ‘Dalian Yifang have taken Yannick Carrasco off the market,’
‘It’s very unlikely he’ll move, as Dalian Yifang have formally taken him off the market.
“His name could be back in the headlines over the summer. In truth, the negotiations never really started. There were some shows of interest from Italy, but we never went beyond that.”
This recent development will be a hammer blow to Unai Emery’s plans of recruiting a new winger before today’s transfer deadline. Carrasco would have been a good fit for the North London outfit as he would have offered something different going forward which might have given Emery’s side an edge in the race to finish in the top 4 spots at the end of this campaign.
However, it does not seem like a loan move would take place for him this month which has not gone down well with most of the Arsenal fans on Twitter.
One supporter saw the lighter side of the development and said that his beloved club might end up signing Chris Brunt on loan due to Arsenal’s inability to land their primary transfer targets in recent years.

Another fan blamed Carrasco for not getting the best out of his ‘hair & beard combo’ which were apparently not the behaviour of an elite footballer. Make of it what you will.

With AC Milan also interested in recruiting Carrasco, this Arsenal supporter urged his team not to miss out on the player, just so that Ivan Gazidis does not have the last laugh.
We can’t lose out to that bald fraud Gazidis. #Carrasco

Then there were others who were jumping at the prospect of Carrasco linking up with Emery’s squad at the Emirates Stadium.
I sooooo sooooo want @CarrascoY21 at @Arsenal it would be the best signing after @Aubameyang7 .
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Make the deal happen arsenal #YaGunnersYa #Carrasco #gooner4life— Gaheer (@dhiman_says) January 30, 2019
Perhaps the best reaction of the day so far came from this supporter who struggled to find the logic behind a loan move for Carrasco when in his opinion, Arsenal should rather concentrate on recruiting a few new faces in defence.
Sorry am I the only one think that getting Suarez and Carrasco/persic is bad business? Since when has scoring goals been a problem this year 🤔 Go get in a Top CB 🤷♂️ too many are blinded by the names instead of positional requirements #Arsenal #Suarez #Carrasco #Afc @Arsenal

And last but certainly not the least, one supporter was so desperate to witness the move take place that he was urging Pierre-Emerick Aubemeyang to call Carrasco in a last-ditch effort to convince him to join the North London outfit.
@Aubameyang7 please call @CarrascoY21 and tell him to join… thanks 👍🏾 #arsenal #Carrasco #aubameyang

Despite most of the Arsenal fans hoping to see the Belgian international make a move to the Premier League, it seems like most of them will be in for a disappointing conclusion as the Gunners look set to miss out on him during this window. However, the North London giants managed to climb up to the 4th place in the Premier League standings last night which means that there are still enough reasons for the club’s loyal fans to be optimistic for the remainder of this campaign.
