Tottenham Hotspur got back to winning ways in the Premier League as they faced Watford in their own backyard. The Hornets drew first blood via Craig Cathcart who scored in the 38th minute. However, Spurs came back strongly in the second half, and two late goals from Heung Min Son and Fernando Llorente saw them edge past the opposition in a hard-fought affair at the Wembley.

Made some very good saves throughout the match after conceding the goal in the first half.
Toby Alderweireld: 6
A decent show from the Belgian ace. Could have done better to prevent the Watford goal though.
Davinson Sanchez: 7
Put in a substantial shift in the heart of the backline. His interceptions were decent enough on the night.
Jan Vertonghen: 7
Another calm and composed performance in the backline from the Belgian after conceding an early goal in the match.
Serge Aurier: 6
Went forward with the ball most of the times but the end product was missing. Was substituted at half time.
Moussa Sissoko: 7
His physicality in the middle of the pitch helped the hosts get the better of the Hornets. Kept good possession of the ball.
Harry Winks: 6
Ran up and down the pitch and vied for the ball. Lacked the physical attribute though.
Christian Eriksen: 6
His classy footwork deceived the opposition on a number of occasions. Lacked the accuracy in his passing though.
Danny Rose: 7
Went up and down the left flank to get the ball in the danger area several times as well as breaking down the opposition attacks before building with his interceptions. Delivered a brilliant ball into the box to find Llorente, who scored the late winner.
Fernando Llorente: 8
A gritty performance from the Spaniard as he kept playing on the shoulders of the opposition players. His tactics paid off in the 87th minute in the form of a late winning goal. Assisted Son for the equaliser as well.
Heung Min Son: 8
Provided the threat to the Spurs attack that they lacked in the previous outings. Scored a brilliant goal from Llorente’s pass to bring his side back into the match.
Substitutes
Lucas Moura: 7
Came on for Aurier at half time and kept delivering decent passes in the danger area to initiate attacks. Took a few shots on the goal as well.
Kieran Trippier: 7
Started initiating attacks from the midfield with his darting runs and telling balls.
Erik Lamela: 6
Kept pushing for the goal but failed to breach the Watford defence.
