Latest reports from Daily Mail suggests that Steven Gerrard is confident of landing one more Liverpool player in the ongoing transfer window. The player happens to be English forward Dominic Solanke who struggled to get game time in the first team last season at Anfield. The Gers have recruited heavily in the transfer market, and they are looking to provide finishing touches to their squad by bringing in the 20-year-old Liverpool forward on loan.
The Teddybears scored freely last campaign as they were the top scorers in the Scottish Premiership. However, their defence let them down as they struggled to a third-place finish. Bringing in Solanke will add more depth to their squad as they already have the likes of Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq as strikers in their roster.
The 20-year-old has all the facets to his game which a no.9 needs as he is strong on the ball, good in the air along with a top class finisher. However, he hasn’t been able to do justice to his talent at the club level as he managed just one goal in 21 appearances in the Premier League last season, though most of his appearances came from the bench.
Solanke has already represented the English senior team, and he will need regular game time to help in his overall development. Given the plethora of options, the Reds have currently, it is unlikely that he will be able to get much playing minutes at Anfield. Though his path to the first team could ease out as the likes of Danny Ings and Divock Origi are being linked with a move away.

Gerrard so far has landed the likes of Ovie Ejaria and Ryan Kent on loan from Liverpool, and he is making good use of his relationship with the Liverpool hierarchy. The Gers faithful will once again count on that as Gerrard tries to bring in the impressive English striker at the Ibrox.
