According to Turkish outlet Sabah, as cited by HITC, the new Premier League entrants Wolves are looking to make a move for Croatian World Cup star Domagoj Vida. Their manager Nuno Espirito Santo is looking to make a mark in which will be his very first season in the English top flight and is reportedly determined to land the defensive ace, who currently plies his trade at the Turkish outfit Besiktas.
The 29-year-old player has been one of the best performers for his side in the FIFA World Cup in Russia and played a vital role in helping Croatia reach the final. It is also being reported that the West Midlands club have already submitted a bid of £16m for the player, which shows their desperation to land the player this summer.
The Championship winners from the last season were heads and shoulders above every other team in the league table and are looking to keep their good form intact in the Premier League as well. However, Santo is well aware of the fact that it is not going to be an easy task for his team and needs to add players who have a decent amount of experience in top-flight football.

Vida’s brilliant performance in the backline for Croatia has attracted the attention of some big-name clubs and Wolves should be well aware of that. Santo will need to make haste to bring the player to Molineux, and he is right in making a bid for him. However, the bid of £16m might not be enough for the deal to go through, with Besiktas putting a £22m tag on their prized possession as Wolves might have to increase their valuation to stand any chance to land the player.
