Leeds United have hoping to secure the services of Brentford wide man Florian Jozefzoon this summer. According to recent reports, the Peacocks have matched Derby County‘s bid for the Dutch winger as they look to snap him up during this ongoing transfer window. It is now up to the player to decide which club he wants to play for, going into the new campaign.

Some sources are now claiming that Leeds United are inching closer towards sealing a move for the Championship speedster, who has settled into English football well since his arrival at Brentford from PSV Eindhoven at the start of 2017. Jozefzoon has put in some outstanding performances at Griffin Park during the course of last season which has not gone unnoticed by other clubs.

Florian Jozefzoon began his career at the youth ranks of AFC Ajax, before being promoted into their senior team back in 2010. He had a loan spell at NAC Breda in the 2011-12 campaign but was not able to cut the mustard at Amsterdam after coming back and was eventually shipped out to RKC Waalwijk on a free transfer. His performances for Waalwijk caught the eyes of Dutch giants, PSV Eindhoven who sealed a move for him in 2013. The Dutch talent had made 64 appearances and scored 6 goals during his time at the Philips Stadion. Brentford decided to bring him to England last year where he had featured in 58 matches, scoring 8 goals while providing 9 assists in the league so far.

The 27-year-old winger is quite versatile and can operate on either wing which makes him a perfect fit for any of his potential suitors.
