Chelsea have tabled an offer for AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker ahead of a potential move in the summer. According to recent reports, the Blues have launched a bid for the Brazilian international’s signature but the amount of the fee has not yet been disclosed. It is believed that talks about a new contract have broken down between Chelsea and their Belgian keeper, Thibaut Courtois, which could pave the way for Alisson to replace him in goal at Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian has put in a number of majestic performances for the Italian outfit during the course of last season which has not gone unnoticed. However, the Blues could face stiff competition from Liverpool who have also been heavily linked with a move for the AS Roma shot-stopper.
Alisson had made 49 appearances for Roma last season, conceding 47 goals while keeping 22 clean sheets across all competitions. He is exactly the type of talent who can fill the shoes of Courtois if the Belgian makes a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
