Arsenal are keen on securing the signature of RB Leipzig wide man Emil Forsberg in the summer. According to recent reports, the Gunners are ready to battle it out with Juventus in pursuit of the Swedish winger’s signature during this summer transfer period. It is believed that Unai Emery’s side could face still competition from Juventus on the hunt to recruit the Bundesliga star this summer.
The Swedish winger has put in a number of match-winning performances at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig.during the course of last season which has not gone unnoticed. Some sources are now claiming that the German outfit are looking for a fee in excess of £45m ($60.1m) for their Swedish playmaker. It is also understood that Leipzig are keen to offer Forsberg a new contract in order to extend his stay in the German top-flight.
The 26-year-old had featured in 33 matches for the German side last season, scoring 5 goals while grabbing 4 assists in all competitions. The Sundsvall-born player has also earned 33 international caps for the Swedish national team and has 6 international goals to his name so far. Hence, Unai Emery should bring in some top class talents this summer who can help them compete for some major silverware in the coming years.
