According to latest reports, John Terry could be on his way out of Aston Villa after their defeat in the playoff finals against Fulham. The reports suggest that Steve Bruce and John Terry met outside Aston Villa’s dressing room which seemed like a final goodbye between the two.
Former English captain Terry’s contract is coming to an end in the summer and Villa will like to have him for another year. It seems that they will not be able to afford his £60,000 a week salary for another season in the Championship. It is likely that his next destination will either be in America or China where he won’t have any issues in earning such amount.
Terry played a crucial part in Villa’s push towards Premier League qualification. They fell short and they will have to do it all over again but without John Terry for next season. The 37-year-old would have had a huge impact off the field as well on the youngsters where they got a chance to rub shoulders and play alongside a legend of the game and Steve Bruce will have to look into the transfer market to replace him.

James Collins
The veteran Welsh international has recently been let go by West Ham United and he could be proper like for like replacement for John Terry. Collins has an experience of over 400 league games and has been around the blocks for quite some time now.
He can be a rock at the back as well as guide the youngsters at Villa Park. However, there are reports that various clubs are also after him and Steve Bruce will have to move in quick if they want to sign this experienced defender.
Gareth McAuley
West Brom defender Gareth McAuley played bits and pieces for Baggies this season and managed just 13 appearances in all competitions. Like Terry, he has a wealth of experience in the Premier League as he has been at the Hawthorns for the last seven years and he has represented his national side Northern Ireland 77 times.

Steve Bruce can reunite with his former player by bringing him to Villa Park. Hull City have had a poor season as they finished 18th and Dawson might fancy moving to a team which has more chances of making it to the Premier League.
