According to latest reports, John Terry could be on his way out of Aston Villa after their defeat in the playoff finals against Fulham. The reports suggest that Steve Bruce and John Terry met outside Aston Villa’s dressing room which seemed like a final goodbye between the two.

Former English captain Terry’s contract is coming to an end in the summer and Villa will like to have him for another year. It seems that they will not be able to afford his £60,000 a week salary for another season in the Championship. It is likely that his next destination will either be in America or China where he won’t have any issues in earning such amount.

Terry played a crucial part in Villa’s push towards Premier League qualification. They fell short and they will have to do it all over again but without John Terry for next season. James Collins

The veteran Welsh international has recently been let go by West Ham United and he could be proper like for like replacement for John Terry. Collins has an experience of over 400 league games and has been around the blocks for quite some time now.

He can be a rock at the back as well as guide the youngsters at Villa Park. However, there are reports that various clubs are also after him and Steve Bruce will have to move in quick if they want to sign this experienced defender.

Gareth McAuley

West Brom defender Gareth McAuley played bits and pieces for Baggies this season and managed just 13 appearances in all competitions.
