Chelsea midfielder Jeremie Boga has disclosed that he has no desire to go out on loan again this summer. According to recent reports, the Blues youngster is not willing to depart Stamford Bridge on a temporary basis once again during this ongoing transfer period. The 21-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Birmingham City and helped the West Midlands club avoid the drop to League One.
It was his third loan spell since he signed for the West London club in the summer of 2014. The Chelsea academy product has also played for Stade Rennais and Granada CF during his youth career. Boga made his Premier League debut for the Blues in the opening day fixture of last season. However, he was withdrawn on 18 minutes following Gary Cahill’s red card.
The Ivory Coast midfielder has now revealed that he has no intention of going out on loan again and would rather leave the club on a permanent transfer. In a recent interview, the Chelsea starlet shed some light on his future and was quoted to have said,
“The goal has been achieved, we [Birmingham] managed to save ourselves. We had ups and downs. I only remember the positives.
“I have clear ideas about my future.
“This is my third season on loan.
“I have a lot of experience [after] the end of the season and I feel ready for next year to either fight to try to establish myself at Chelsea or to leave the club.
“I do not really want another loan.”
The West London team only managed to grind out a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season which will see them miss out on UEFA Champions League football for at least another year. They are in need to bring in some top talents in this summer transfer window who can help them close the gap to the Manchester clubs next term.
Retaining some of their top young talents like Boga could help the club build for a bigger and better future at Stamford Bridge. However, if the Blues are unable to offer him regular first-team opportunities in the upcoming campaign, then it’s better to let go of the Ivory Coast midfielder as he will benefit from earning more first-team experience elsewhere.

Chelsea should instead look to use the money generated from his potential sale to strengthen other areas of their squad. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Boga and whether they decide to let him leave this summer.
