Arsenal are being linked with a move for Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri, who could potentially succeed Arsene Wenger at the North London club this summer. According to recent reports, the Italian manager, who could be available at the end of the season, has registered his interest in taking over the London-based side in the summer.
The Italian has been touted to make a switch away from the Juventus Stadium this summer with some sources claiming that there is a 50-50 chance that the Juve boss might depart the Serie A giants at the end of the current campaign. It is believed that Arsenal will be his most likely destination if he decided to quit the Italian club this summer.
In a recent interview, Allegri addressed his future and was quoted to have said, ‘Certainly, I will go abroad. In Italy.. finished.’
The 50-year-old has already won three Serie A titles with the Turin-based club and is now well in contention of securing his fourth top-flight title in the near future. He has also led Juventus to two UEFA Champions League finals in recent years. Allegri could definitely prove to be a shrewd appointment if Arsenal can secure his services in the coming months.
The North London team have a total tally of 60 points after playing in 36 league fixtures during the course of this campaign and are currently occupying the 6th position in the Premier League table. All of Arsene Wenger’s hopes of UEFA Champions League football next term were shattered last week when they were knocked out of the UEFA Europa League by Atletico Madrid with an aggregate scoreline of 2-1.
The appointment of a manager of the calibre of Allegri could turn out to be a clever move by the North Londoners as he has a proven track-record of winning major silverware. The 50-year-old boss has taken charge of 217 matches for Juve so far in his career, winning 154 matches, 33 draws and 30 losses.

The Italian manager has been at the Juventus Stadium since 2014 and could now be on the lookout for a new adventure in a foreign country. Only time will tell whether he can turn the Gunners into genuine title contenders if he does end up getting the job. However, the former AC Milan boss is relatively unproven outside Italian football which could be a cause for concern for Arsenal fans. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Allegri and whether he ends up making a switch to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
