Alex Sandro, the Juventus left-back has been linked with English giants Chelsea for last few transfer windows and the recent reports suggest that Juventus are willing to let him go in the summer. The Blues showed interest in him in the January transfer window but things didn’t materialise as Chelsea were put off by the price demanded by the Juventus board.
Chelsea are having a poor season according to their standards as the defending champions meekly surrendered their trophy this season without mounting up a proper challenge for the top prize. They are currently fifth in the Premier League and are in with an outside chance for a place in top four as Tottenham dropped 5 points in their last two premier League fixtures. Chelsea are now just 5 points off the pace of their London rivals but are running out of time as only 4 games remain in the Premier League.
Antonio Conte could be shown the door in the summer as Chelsea have been ruthless in the past when it comes to sacking managers. However, there is still hope for a silverware this season for them as they are in the FA Cup semi-finals and will be facing the dismal Southampton side who are on the verge of relegation.
Alex Sandro is a typical modern-day fullback as he is extremely good while attacking. He has a good burst of pace and is energetic and lively while he is on the pitch. The defender can even play the role of a left winger as he has a vicious left foot and can provide dangerous crosses. Along with that, he is also a strong tackler and reads the game well.
The Brazilian will provide much-needed depth in the left wingback position as Chelsea have only one out and out left wingback i.e Marcos Alonso. Alonso has been slightly inconsistent this season and has been wasteful sometimes while going forward as he doesn’t always make the right decision in the final third of the pitch.

It will be interesting to see, what price Chelsea can get him at if they go for Alex Sandro. In the January transfer window, he was priced at around £60 million which put Chelsea off. The Blues will surely strengthen in the upcoming transfer market as they will be looking to do better in all competitions and especially in the Premier League, so a big money move for the Brazilian defender cannot be ruled out.
