Liverpool faced off against Aston Villa at Villa Park earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a toothless start to the game and conceded the opener in the 41st minute when Morgan Rogers found the back of the net. Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Virgil Van Dijk equalised for the Merseyside club in the 51st minute. However, Ollie Watkins scored a quick-fire brace before John McGinn put daylight between the two sides in the 88th minute. Van Dijk grabbed a consolation goal in injury time as Liverpool crashed to a dismal 4-2 loss at Villa Park.
