Tottenham Hotspur Are Set To Reignite Their Interest In This Manchester City Winger: Should De Zerbi Go For Him?

In a recent report, The Daily Mail revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are set to reignite their interest in Manchester City winger Savinho. It has been stated that Spurs are eager to get a deal done for the Brazilian wide player in this summer transfer window.

Savinho’s Lack Of Game Time At Man City This Season

Savinho has struggled to earn a regular spot in Man City’s first team this season. However, he has managed to put in a few impressive displays for them in the final third.

The Brazilian talent has made 36 appearances for the Mancunian club in this campaign, scoring four goals and earning three assists across all competitions. Savinho is currently one of the most gifted wide players in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no wonder that Spurs are ready to rekindle their interest in recruiting him this off-season.

His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will expire in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi Go For Savinho?

Savinho is a good dribbler with the ball and can make some driving runs with it in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He can strike the ball well from long range and can create the odd chance for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.

The Brazilian talent is primarily a left-winger but can also serve as a right-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if asked to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham.

Savinho would add more quality and depth to Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.

At 22, Savinho has got a bright future ahead as long as he continues to improve with each year. Therefore, he would be a good option for Spurs to consider this off-season. Savinho will also help Tottenham get back to challenging for a European spot in the Premier League over the next few years. Thus, De Zerbi would be wise to go for a player of his skill set this summer.
